Reviews

My students enjoyed taking what they had learned in the classroom and presenting it through music. The lyrics to the songs were great lead ins to conversations about vocabulary. They were truly connected to the program and were very proud to present it to an audience.

The Birds' Tale

Birds of a Feather

It's all for the birds as we join a singing contest in the big tree in the meadow.  The Blue Jays kick everything off with a swinging rendition of "Blue Jay Boogie."  After their song and dance, a bunch of Hummingbirds fly in to sing a sprightly Mozartian tune.  Next up are the Parrots singing a calypso version of "Birdseed in Paradise" complete with conga line.  The down-home posse of Woodpeckers flies in to sing "Red-Neck Birds Just A-Peckin' for a Livin'", a country number that includes a lively line dance.  The Mockingbirds miss the point of the contest when they do what Mockingbirds do...copy other birds...with a medley of all the other birds' songs.  Of course, this ruffles the other birds' feathers.  So a flock of Doves flies in to explain that every bird should sing his own song.  The Doves lead all the birds in singing a lovely ballad, "Sing Your Own Song."
